Hello Fellow Athletic Trainers,

As fall slowly creeps to the winter season, we look at the championship runs of our teams. May your teams be successful and injury free. If you are interested in working any of the fall championships please contact Missy Archibeck to sign up for events.

I want to remind you of your membership renewals, there are a variety of membership pay scales, so click on the NATA link to renew. CEU’s are available for membership.

In the past few months there have been a variety of discussions on the safety and wellbeing of athletes, including concussions and physicals. Contact your local legislatures and let them know of your concerns and comments on why athletic trainers are important to care of athletes.

As the year starts to wind down and holidays are upon us, I want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to your profession. I have had time to look back at the tenure of the board and have come up with a simple conclusion. This profession is amazing not just because of the responsibility and intellect but because of the people who are involved in it. You are the reason for the quality of care, you are the reason for the passion, you are the reason for the success of the teams. As our tenure concludes I want to say thanks for all of your time and support.

The mid winter board meeting will take place in January and it will be the start of a new board, I ask that you support that board as you have supported all of the other boards that have lead this organization.

If you have questions or comments for the board, feel free to contact them. We will be happy to help you in any way possible. May all of your teams be successful and good luck in your upcoming seasons. Respectfully,

Tim "Doc" Acklin ATC, LAT
